Our 10-day long Hungary and Romania Limosa tour has just ended (27th September to 6th of October). We were very lucky to have 9 days of sunshine with almost all our targets seen in this period! The autumn colours were absolutely amazing! We had not less than 9 Brown Bears in the pine forests of Hargita. The birds were fantastic: we started in the Hortobágy with Lesser White-fronted Geese and Dotterels, then Transylvania with Pygmy and Ural Owls, 5 Wallcreepers (virtually over our head), Greater Spotted Eagle, Three-toed Woodpecker, Capercaillie, Ring Ouzel, Nutcracker etc. and a final action packed day in the Hortobágy again with Great Bustards, Sakers and about 35 000 Cranes!
